Kacey Musgraves’ Sophomore Album, “Pageant Material,” Due Out June 23

Image Courtesy Mercury NashvilleKacey Musgraves' sophomore album, Pageant Material, is coming out June 23 featuring the lead single "Biscuits." The cover shows Kacey with a big, retro hairdo, heavy makeup and a pageant crown on her head. In following up her CMA and Grammy-winning debut, Same Trailer Different Park, Kacey feels she had a very clear direction for Pageant Material.

"The majority of Pageant Material was recorded live -- which was a bit of a departure from Same Trailer -- and gave it more of a concise, classic sound," Kacey explains. "All of the incredible musicians were in the same room playing on the entire record, and I think that spirit comes across."

Kacey goes on to say she still gets emotional about some of the lyrics on Pageant Material even though she's heard the project many, many times.

Says Kacey, "It's a great glimpse into where my head is from Same Trailer to now."

Here is the Pageant Material track listing:

"High Time"
"Dime Store Cowgirl"
"Late to the Party"
"Pageant Material"
"This Town"
"Biscuits"
"Somebody to Love"
"Miserable"
"Die Fun"
"Family Is Family"
"Good Ol' Boys Club"
"Cup of Tea"
"Fine"

Dustin Lynch’s Career Kicks into Overdrive Thanks to Edgy New Sound

Image Courtesy Broken Bow RecordsDustin Lynch's career was on the upswing before he released his latest album, Where It's At, but things have really taken off since Dustin introduced an edgier sound on that album's singles, "Where It's At" and "Hell of a Night." It also doesn't hurt that Dustin has landed a spot on Luke Bryan's 2015 tour.

As for his solo shows, Dustin tells OC Weekly, "We're selling out everywhere we go... It's crazy how far we've come as a band. Seeing the progression and the crowds grow is a testament to what we're doing on stage, and what we put into our live show -and it's so much fun."

Dustin is a special guest on Luke Bryan's Kick the Dust Up tour stop in Boise, Idaho this Thursday night.
