Young Guitarist Fulfills Dream of Jamming with Brad Paisley

Grand Ole Opry/Chris HolloBrad Paisley last Thursday fulfilled his promise to jam with a young guitarist named Blaze Baum.

Earlier this year, Blaze posted to YouTube a music video titled "I Wanna’ Jam With Brad Paisley" that features him jamming with Paisley -- actually, Paisley's head superimposed on Blaze's body.

Paisley watched the video, shared it on Twitter, and wrote,  "Speechless. Obviously, a lot of work went into this. & yessir, I will jam with you. My local @guitarcenter or yours?"

The collaboration ended up taking place last Thursday at Paisley's show in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They jammed during his soundcheck. As a surprise, Paisley also invited Blaze onto the stage during the concert to perform Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Pride and Joy” and Joe Walsh’s “Rocky Mountain Way,” plus Paisley's own hits “River Bank” and “Alcohol.”

Ashley Monroe Says Traveling with Duet Partner Blake Shelton Is Like Rolling with Elvis

Image Courtesy CMAAshley Monroe knows the value of having friends in high places. Her pal Blake Shelton put her on his song, "Lonely Tonight," which just hit #1 on the country chart last week. She found out about the good news last Monday night through a text from Blake, and his support has meant a lot to her personally

Ashley tells ABC Radio, "He is genuinely so proud of me, and he wants me to shine. He texts me the whole time we've been at #1. I can tell he's excited for me way more than he is him. That means so much."

Ashley has known Blake and his wife, Miranda Lambert, for years now, but Blake's star is shining a lot brighter lately thanks to his gig as a coach on The Voice.

"He's like such a superstar these days," Ashley says. "We've known him so long. He's so much the same still, though, too."

Singing with Blake has given Ashley a lot of opportunities, including performances on the CMA Awards, The Voice and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Ashley even filmed a Pepsi commercial with Blake on an aircraft carrier in Texas.

She recalls, "We had a police escort for that commercial in Corpus Christi. We landed in his private plane, and police escort takes us and we go on that aircraft carrier, police all around us. I said, "I'm so glad I'm friends with Elvis." That's what it felt like!"

Ashley is now climbing the country chart with her brand-new solo single, "On to Something Good." It's the lead release from her upcoming studio album.

Garth tells The Oregonian, "I hope I get to do this for 20 more years, to tell you the truth. I love every second of it and can't get enough of it, no matter -- I don't even want to use the word 'work.' No matter how busy you are, it's fantastic. "

Garth is currently playing a run of shows in Buffalo, NY with his wife, Trisha Yearwood.
