Dan+Shay Sing Their Hit…and Eric Church’s, Too

Warner Music NashvilleThere’s a little switcheroo going on in country music’s top ten these days. While Dan+Shay are at number nine and still climbing with “From the Ground Up,” it turns out they’re huge fans of the song several places ahead of them at number five.

“We may hold the record for most times listening to this @ericchurch song...” the pair shared on social media, along with a video of them performing Eric’s hit, “Record Year.”

Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney are no strangers to covering other artists’ songs. In the past, they’ve delivered their versions of tunes ranging from Cam’s “Burning House” to Luke Bryan’s “Drink a Beer” to Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved.” 

And who knows?  One day we may find out what Eric Church would sound like singing “From the Ground Up.”
