There are a myriad of distractions that can detract from the quality of your prayer or meditation.  Sometimes, they can keep you from praying or meditating altogether.  Distracting thoughts can keep you from the proper concentration needed.  Noise can be disruptive as you try to quiet down your mind.  Family and work responsibilities can leave you with little time to pray or meditate.

  •  Select a comfortable posture of body position
  • Give yourself plenty of time (You may stress out or forget things if you’re in too much of a hurry.)
  • Pray or meditate aloud (This forces you to really think about what you’re going to say.)
  • Be persevering.  Have patience.  (It may take time for you to really get it.)
