Parking Lot Party

After scoring his third consecutive #1 hit with “I Drive Your Truck,” Lee Brice is back with a summertime anthem! Lee Brice says it’s a tailgating motto that the singer wrote with his pals Thomas Rhett, Rhett Akins and Luke Laird, “Us four – we sat around and jammed out all afternoon and just had fun. And that’s where that song came from – was just having fun and telling the truth. It’s about those tailgating days to where whatever event you’re supposed to be going to – sometimes you don’t make it into the event. You end up staying in the parking lot the whole time and enjoying yourself. So, that’s kind of what that’s about.” Lee has just been nominated for the Nationwide Insurance On Your Side Award for Best New Live Act, at this year’s CMT Music Awards. The show airs live on CMT on June 5th at 8PM Eastern, and will be hosted by Kristen Bell and Jason Aldean.
